Quick Technical Note:

OK. I know there were a lot of issues with a lot of you viewing my blog with the previous template. So I made some quick changes this morning. I hope that this one works better for everyone. I still need to fix up my title with a banner or something but for now this should get me going.

Let me know if this one works or doesn't. Thank you!

1 year ago today -

I was sitting in that freezing cold ultrasound room, overwhelmed with excitement to about to find out the sex of the baby girl. (I already knew she was a girl and you could not have convinced me otherwise!)

I remember watching that screen with such awe as we watched her squirm, kick, twist, suck her thumb, and yawn as the tech tried to get measurements and do her exam. Hubby and my mom kept asking "Well?" But the tech was waiting until the end to confirm the news. When she said "It's a girl" the hubby smiled, my mom cried, and I said "I told you so." I must have watched that video 100 times over in the days following. So amazed everytime of the perfect little miracle God had chosen to grow inside of me.

Now today, one year later - I'm sitting staring at a beautiful 7 month old baby girl. Perfect in every way. I watch her smile, listen to her giggle, watch her grow and learn a little more every day. And with each day, I feel a little more blessed than the day before. A year changes so much.

On a man hunt, wish me luck.

I have, have, have to find the baby girl some Florida State attire before Labor Day. Of course, I've let it sneak up on me and now its going to be a last minute attempt. I have exactly a week and its making me antsy.

Why is it so important? Florida State and Miami play a week from today, on Labor Day. You see, my brother-in-law is the most obnoxious Miami Hurricane fan on the face of this earth. He thinks he is going to make the baby girl cheer for them too. So, since we'll be watching the game with him I want her to be garnet and gold from head to toe! Just to make him crazy.

Must get busy searching!

Is that your way of telling me to shut up, BabyGirl?

I was just singing "2 little monkeys jumping on the bed" to the baby girl. Don't know why it was in my head, but it was. She thought it was amusing for a while - smiling and 'talking' to me as I continued to sing. Then just about the time I was getting tired of repeating my little song she took her paci and tried to put it in my mouth.

She was trying to plug me up.

Ha. Smarty pants.

Up to my elbows in pictures of the baby girl.

One thing is true... She will never be able to say her mother didn't take her picture.

I finally started her scrapbook.

I got a great scrapbook for a baby gift. One with her name, birth date and weight etc stamped on the cover. (Her name is spelled wrong - and I have to get that fixed.) We all know I don't lack in the picture department just the motivation department. I have 2 albums and a box full of pictures around here. So, I decided to start this morning - to quit procrastinating - or I would get so behind it would become a mess!

I got a good 6 pages done during her nap! Tons more to do, but hey - that's 6 more than we had, right?

Very. Busy.

Goodness. I can't hardly think up anything major we've been doing, but I just feel like we've been so busy doing nothing. Does that make sense? I've had little to no computer time since the middle of last week.

It must be that the baby girl is changing so much so fast that I'm simply just trying to keep up!

Here they are..

I know some of you have been waiting patiently to see some pictures from our vacation. Well, I finally have a few minutes to actually sort through and share some since the baby girl is tucked away in her crib and hubby had to go back into work for a while.

We spent part of the trip with family, the other part was just the 2 girls and a guy! (I'll share pictures from the latter part of the trip!)

Here is the baby girl enjoying some pool time!

Not many adults can say they've been here, but the baby girl has proof she was there at 6 months of age..

Image hosted by Photobucket.com ..... It's your birthday!

This week TKW wants us to share go back and share birthday photos! I should make you all proud this week... I'm going way back to the 1st birthday and to the most recent birthday.

Here we go...

I don't think I was very fond of the cake!

And for the most recent birthday - This is the 23rd birthday. I'm 36 weeks pregnant with the baby girl. Please excuse my pants, at that point I had lost weight and they were too big. Yes, somehow I was lucky enough to lose weight during pregnancy. How I don't know, but we don't question it!

Watch out! She's going forward.

The baby girl crawled for the first time last night, and again this morning. Whoa.

I knew it was coming. She has been on all fours for a month or so now, but she just took right off last night. I guess I'll be chasing her now!

I think she also wants to pull up but has not quite figured that out yet...

**

Now, I have to go grocery shopping. Fun. We have been scraping up dinner ideas since getting home and I'm out of coffee creamer and diet coke - so it has to be done today. When I return I'm going to try to dig up a Way Back Wednesday picture!

First things first...

Of course, I could go on and on about how much fun we had on vacation, about how spoiled the baby girl got, how many hundreds of dollars the family spent on her, about enjoying the Florida Keys, about holding a newborn baby, about seeing thousands of rednecks, about staying in a million dollar home the gulf side of Key Largo, about the girl being a great traveler - you get the point. I'm sure I'll post about some of this soon but first I just have to tell you all.

I need to tell you what to not forget is in your garage when you take off for a 10 day vacation.

A Watermelon.

Of course, when I left last Friday I remembered to take out the trash, clean out the fridge, turn up the AC and manage to forget nothing behind except the watermelon that the hubby had set in the garage.

10 very hot days pass and we get home yesterday, I open the garage to find this...

The smell was beyond horrible, ohmygosh. The hubby and I gagged for 30 minutes. I think the neighborhood could smell it. DISGUSTING. Beyond disgusting.

The poor hubby...

So take my word for it - next trip I may forget my suitcase but there will not be a watermelon left in my garage!

Lots more later!!

Procrastination, my middle name

Can somebody, anybody tell me why I feel I need to wait until the last minute in everything I do???

We leave for vacation tomorrow around 11:00 a.m. And yep, I'm just now packing since I just put the baby girl to bed. I've put it off to the very last minute, like always. I'm likely to be up all night. I'll also add that the hubby is not home, which leaves me to packing for all 3 of us! However, there is no way I'll be done when he gets home so you can bet your rear that he'll be helping til midnight or however long this is going to take! I hate packing.

I'm posting this now because its likely I won't have time to turn on the computer in the morning. We'll be gone until next Sunday. This is mainly a trip to visit the hubby's family that has not seen the baby girl since she was 1 month old. We are taking a few days to sneak away to the Keys for a few days. Its not likely I'll be posting any because I've decided not to take the laptop. I might regret it later, but I want to spend as much time with the hubby as I can. Its been a long time since he's had a week off. I want to enjoy it. But, should I happen to stumble across a computer, I'll sure pop in and say hello.

Okay...... I. Must. Start. Packing.

Way Back Wednesday - It's our Wedding Day!

As always, brought to us by the Kept Mama.

Today we relive our wedding day. I love this WBW theme - because I just love weddings. Mine or yours...I just love them! I could have easily gotten carried away and given you the play by play but being that I lack a scanner and I have to take lovely pictures of pictures and sometimes the quality is usually not very good, I'll spare you.

First, we have the bride

One of the photos I will always love. This one is priceless.

And, for the record, that was all ME! haha. I don't think the hubby has forgiven me for that yet. It was so far up his nose! Actually, I think he's just disappointed I beat him to the punch. It was a great moment. Everyone expecting us to do the nice, sweet, cute feeding of the cake - I know this because as soon as I went for the shove the "awwww's" turned to "gasp's." Hilarious!

He forgave me.

Ok... last one, I promise....

I think this is my favorite one, taken by my aunt. One of those non professional pictures that captures the moment so well. Takes me right back to that sprint to the hubby's truck everytime I look at it. And, reminds me how bad that bird seed HURTS being pelted at you. Trust me, our friends were chunking that stuff!

oops, Was that too much? I guess I got carried away afterall.

Blah

That's how I feel today. My stomach hurts and the baby girl has been especially cranky for some unknown reason. I'm not in a bad mood or anything just feeling 'blah' if you know what I mean...

I should be gearing up for our vacation. But I haven't done a thing to prepare. Hopefully, the baby girl and I will be back to ourselves by noon on Friday when we leave.

On the upside:
~ I cleaned the entire house yesterday and all the laundry.
~ I don't have to cook tonight, we're going to a friends new house for dinner.
~ I did a little remodeling to the blog today. I like it much better, don't you?

Can you believe I just typed this with one hand because someone just fell asleep on my left arm and she is wayyyy to peaceful to move!
