ALMOST there...

Okay, I almost have it...

Thank you to Melissa for the help - and to everyone else that offered their help!

There are just a few things I'm hoping someone can tell me...

  1. How do I get my post titles to show up? They show up on the side bar but not above the post??
  2. How do I get the text of my post to align to the left? I played around with the date, comments etc. and I got them to move left, right, center but the post body stays center no matter what I try...

You don't have to copy & paste the 100 things, just go to the archives and get the URL of the post and link it on your side bar :)

I can help but it's 1AM and I gotta get some sleep... hubby is waiting on me.

The title thing is just a simple blogger code you need to insert and the text alignment is likely a css issue - if you don't have it fixed by tomorrow when I check back in I'll help ya, k?

You should see this in your template editor... it makes your post title appear. It's a blogger code. it should go under the post section... you're may not have a H3 css style but you can give it one, if you need to... i saw a date css style but not one for title...

<.BlogItemTitle>
<.h3 class="post-title">
<.BlogItemUrl><.a href="<.$BlogItemUrl$>" title="external link"><./BlogItemUrl>
<.$BlogItemTitle$>
<.BlogItemUrl><./a><./BlogItemUrl>
<./h3>
<./BlogItemTitle>

periods need to be removed, after each < ..... it wouldn't post the code without me doin' that

Also... if that's there and still no title, go into your settings... click on formatting - make sure "show title field" says yes...

that should fix it...

the other issue, text of post... i didnt see any center codes... but maybe if you go into the template and remove "text-align: justify;" from the .post css style it'll fix it... try and see.

THANK YOU JAMIE!!!!!! That worked for the post title, now I just have to figure out how to get everything to not be centered....

Somewhere around the body of your post it probably says <.center> and somewhere else it says <./center>, without the periods. That's what makes it centered. I don't know what the command for right justified is. Find it and insert where it says center and you'll be set.

Glad it worked!

Did you removed the text align code? I didn't know if it'd work... I see it's still there and wasn't sure if you tried it. I looked at the source and didn't see a center code but I may have over looked it.

I use FireFox and thought I'd let you know of a few issue that happen with FF that don't happen with IE - the brown in the text section doesn't go all the way down like it should, but it does in IE. FF is stops just before your 1st post ends and on the sidebar is stops at recent thoughts. Also, the border around the sidebar doesn't appear in FireFox like it does on IE. Just incase most your viewers are FF users.... thankfully it's nothing major... so that's good! :) Some templates are not FF friendly, at all.
