2 Thumbs Down
Had the worst experience ever with a picture place. EVER.
We went to The Picture People for the first time Monday, and probably the last. I was excited because, of course, every picture I've ever seen from there has been great. But, no not ours. HORRIBLE.
We went to get our pictures made for MIL as a gift for her birthday. Her 3 boys and their families. She's hard to buy for and when I counted back to the last professional picture they have together it was nearly 10 years ago. We wanted one of the group and then each individual family to frame up for her all nice and pretty. Had it not been for that fact, I would have walked out of there with nothing. Babygirl's shots were awful, the floor was showing in one and the other was out of focus. My 2 sister-in-law's and I were really unhappy in some way with every shot. And we weren't being picky. The photographer was horrible and most of the issues were from her rushing, not caring and not taking time to make sure our pictures were good. The manager on duty did do her best to make us happy. A discount and 2 free sheets, but it just wasn't enough. I mean we couldnt even get 5x7's of the all complete family shot because it cut hubby's head so close to the edge that when I put it in a frame it cut half his face off. And yes, while arguing I went and took one of their frames off the shelf, cut the picture and put it in just so they could see just how AWFUL it was.
It gets even better. When the brother-in-law's declined to taking their shoes off the PHOTOGRAPHER, who is supposed to be a professional, said this "I don't blame you my toenails look like fritos".
Are you serious?
For what its worth, MIL loved the pictures anyway. She didn't see the flaws in color or washed out faces. She just saw us.

Well... at least years from now you can all laugh about the funny (awful) memories of having them made! :)

I'd be livid too! That's just BS! Glad she liked them anyway. Maybe in a couple yrs you'll laugh at it...maybe??? :)

Ugh, what a major bummer! Makes you wonder where they hire those so called photographers! Glad MIL like it anyway, because that was a really great idea for a gift for the person that has everything.
