Why and Why Not to take the guy grocery shopping
Why Not:
- I spend way, way more money than usual, he throws all kinds of crap in the buggy like a little kid - except he's not a kid,
- You ask him what he would like for dinner on let's say Tuesday night - and you get "I don't care",
- His phone always rings and he walks around talking on it like he's the President (never fails) and all the 'help' he promised to give goes out the window.
- He bounces up and down the aisles with the baby girl to entertain her,
- He loads and unloads the truck (that is a big plus).

LOL! So which wins out most of the time? :)

My least favorite part of grocery shopping is unloading the bags, so that's a BIG plus in this house!!

How annoying are men and their cell phones?
But the part about how he entertains the baby girl sure sounds cute. ;-)

Hubby and I just went shopping this weekend!! The worst part for me is the fact that he will sit there and say "I can't believe you are buying THAT, when right next to it is the same thing only cheaper!" and I say "Ok, if you want to go ahead and get that cheap .98 cheese, go right ahead, but I am getting the Kraft cheese. I also want to be present when you stick that first piece in your mouth because as a mom, I have tried the cheap cheese and it tastes like shit!" Same with cereal, or anything else I may stick in the cart!! lol But I do like the company, and the fact that he keeps the kids entertained. But I also hate it when you get to the check out lane and find 3 bags of Hershey Kisses loaded up! lol Small price to pay for a live in bagger/unloader I guess!

I can't complain, hubs and I always go together and he's usually pretty good. In fact, we pretty much HAVE to go because I can't stand taking baby girl w/ me and having to drag everything in by myself :)

My hubby does ALL of our grocery shopping. I've only been in a grocery store once since we got married.
I can't go with him because it takes FOREVER. He has all these weird formulas that he uses to figure out which foods to by (like which one has the most grams of protein per penny)(or something like that). If I want something that I don't usually put on the list he has to comparison shop at different stores before he finds where the best deal is, so it takes a long time to get "new" stuff. But, he does keep the pantry well stocked for everything I make regularly (including brownies and cookies, etc.)
But he buys it and I cook it and we've got a nice system. I'd kill him if I went with him, though.
